An eggnog latte is the perfect hot beverage to enjoy during the holidays. Espresso, hot, foamy milk and a little eggnog to give it a hint of sweet flavor.
Servings: 1 Drink
- ½ cup milk
- ¼ cup eggnog
- ½ cup espresso or strong brewed coffee
- fresh grated nutmeg, (optional)
Warm coffee mug by filling it with hot water and letting it sit while you prepare the other ingredients.
If using an immersion blender or battery powered milk frother: froth cold milk until it becomes thick and voluminous. Add eggnog and microwave until hot (I do 1 minute at full power, stir, then 30 more seconds)
If using a milk steamer: steam milk with a steam wand until milk becomes hot and frothy. Stir in eggnog, then steam again until hot.
Pour coffee into warmed coffee mug. Pour hot milk/eggnog mixture into coffee. Top with fresh grated nutmeg if desired.
